Kent Blythe

Kent Blythe '70 is having an extended stay in the Philippines for several weeks of golf and other leisurely activities in the warm, sunny country, interrupted only by occasional dinners with USNA classmate Roy Golez '70. Here are the two after a sumptuous dinner in one of Metro Manila's top dining centers. The two have been getting together for over ten years now, in the Philippines and the States, not only exchanging sea stories that have been getting taller and taller, but to discuss and help solve various geopolitical problems as well as help strategize Navy football games. Always engaging in banter, the two claim jokingly that their ideas on football strategy and tactics have helped Navy beat Army for nine years in a row. They claim that had Bill Elias consulted them in Navy's 1966, 1968 and 1969 Army Navy games, Navy would have won handily in those years.
