Stories of Service is a living history project run by Digital Clubhouse Network in cooperation with the Department of Defense and various veteran's organizations to record veteran's stories in digital format for archiving at the Library of Congress. This year, to commemorate the 60th anniversary of WW II, the effort is focusing on recording stories from veterans of that war.
Volunteer San Diego is proud to be the lead organization for Stories of Service in SD County. Our youth volunteers have created many interesting videos of veteran's wartime experiences that will live forever. If you know a WW II veteran in the SD area, who would like to record their story, log onto: http://www.volunteersandiego.org/more/stories_of_service.shtml . VSD can set up an appointment with the veteran to have a youth volunteer team record the story.
